Starting out!!

The first thing that you want to do is create a coupon binder. Why? The best couponing can be done when you are organized and know what you have coupons for. How do you create a coupon binder? Head on over to www.thekrazycouponlady.com and check out their downloadable coupon binder. It is awesome and cuts down the work of you having to create your own. Believe me couponing can be a challenge at the beginning but with organization and a good coupon binder you are on the right track to saving your family hundreds to thousands a year.

Now you are probably wondering "What do I need to create this binder?'
Lucky for you I have the answers

1. Find a downloadable or create your own coupon binder divider sheets. What are those? Sheets that divide you coupons into categories that will allow you to find items better when shopping(i.e. surface cleaners, frozen items, refrigerated items, etc)

2. A sturdy binder.

3. Baseball card holders. You can find these at hobby stores in large bulk for great prices.

So lets start by creating this binder.
Then lets go to coupon.com. redplum.com, catalinanetwork.com for manufacturer coupons.

Check out target.com. walgreens.com,publix.com and riteaid.adperks.com for in store coupons which can be combined with manufacturer coupons in these store.

Also get at least 5 papers on sunday. So that items that you want or need a lot of will be covered. Those high dollar coupons often equal up to free products for you. Which means, stockpiling for you and also gives you ability to donate items to shelters and people that are in need. That is the most rewarding part of couponing. Being able to give more than you could ever imagine and not having to spend all that you have to be a blessing to others.

Welcome

Here you will find ways to save money in Birmingham, Alabama and surrounding areas. I will be posting the most recent deals that will help you to save money throughout the year. It is my goal to give everyone that I can the knowledge that I have and am continuing to learn so that grocery shopping is not a chore it is a delight. I once dreaded grocery shopping. It was something that I put off every month but with my new found information and knowledge on couponing. I LOVE IT!! Shopping with coupons and matching them up with sales has definitely helped to slowly create a stockpile for my family and save use money. As a stay at home mom of two wonderful boys. I am allowed what many mothers would love but cant afford or so they think. Couponing and stockpiling can allow you to save that extra income that you are in need of so that you can stay at home with your beautiful kids too. I am confident that if you have an open mind, are willing to feel a little lost but still get out there and try, and if you can celebrate your smallest victories. You can do this. Why am I so confident? You may ask. It is because all of what I just described above is how I felt when I began couponing one short month ago. Everyday I became more confident and knowledgeable about the stores in my area and their sales as well as the coupons from the sunday paper and the printables. I am always on the look out for a deal. At times you may see me mention other blogs that give information about deals. There are many couponing sites that will help you out on your journey. The thing that I thought was missing is couponing deals for stores in the birmingham area such as Food Giant, Piggly Wiggly, Winn-Dixie, etc. These stores are often not mentioned on these sights which left me to my own devices when finding a great deal but I was able to conquer it and again am continuing to not let the store intimidate me but make the grocery store isle my runway. I am a shopping and saving diva and you can and will become one too.
